Fatigue control system particularly for textile cables

The control method is designed to measure the modulus of elasticity of the cable. The modulus of elasticity is calculated from: E = V<2> x p; V is the speed of propagation of a longitudinal wave in a tensioned cable and p is the mass volume of the cable. The system uses two sensors(A1,A2) each being connected by an amplifier to an oscilloscope. A microprocessor(11) is connected to the sensors(A1,A2) and to an data input stage(12) and a display(13).
