The fastening system consists of a metal frame (2) fixed to the back of each partition module by glue or screws and designed to fit into the top and bottom rails of a U-section surround. The top of the frame engages with the surround by means of a curved spring strip (3) with raised ends which fit into the surround. To fit and remove a partition module the two ends of the strip are drawn downwards to disengage them from the surround by a cable (8) with its end tensioned or released by a drum inside the frame, turned by a key inserted in a hole. The partition modules can be made, e.g. of a polymer composition material, e.g. polyester reinforced with glass fibres.
