We have been able to make high affinity and high titre antibodies by administering not only antigen to an animal, but also a relatively low dose of antibodies to that antigen. These high affinity antibodies can then be used to make better immunological diagnostic test kits, or in the preparation of therapeutic substance or in the treatment of patients. High affinity antibodies are administered to an antibody source in order to make even higher affinity antibodies. |
