With the seat shell's opening facing opposite the direction of travel, the tubular seat frame (2) is fixed on the main seat (16) by a safety belt (20) built into the vehicle. The belt runs at right angles to the seat shell and is retained on the side sections of the tubular frame so as to slide in guides (11). For attachment of the seat frame, the belt passes under the seat shell. A blocking unit (14) is provided for blocking a movement of the seat shell into a lower plane.
