The feed device (5) has a movable silo container (7) for the loose material and an inclined feed path for delivering the loose material from the silo container to a raised delivery point. The inclined feed path is provided by a hinged plate conveyor belt circulated between spaced deflection rollers (15,16), receiving the loose material from the silo container via a dosing opening (19) closed by the circulating conveyor. The silo container and the conveyor belt are moved in the same direction at the same rate. A transducer-sender (36) feeds a signal denoting filling to the control circuit box (38) for the motor (34).
