The plastics bags have two main parallel flat faces, rectangular in shape, sealed at the bottom and having two handles at the top. The handles are joined by an intermediate connecting piece, from which they are detached by pulling the bottom of a bag to remove one bag from the stack. The handles are joined to the connecting piece by pre-cut lines to facilitate separation, the lines being semi-circular in shape with their concave sides facing towards the connecting piece. Each pre-cut line forms part of a half-wave, the amplitude and period of which are determined by the nature and thickness of the material used to make the bags, the height of the connecting piece and the required resistance to separation. |
