The hitch has a lateral control assembly (11-17) for positioning between the non-braked trailer and the tractor vehicle and retains visual control to the rear of the trailer. The guide tube (1) retains the lower part of the cardan joint (2) and in the upper section (13-17) there is a blocking stop for the tow hitch head above the tractor mounted hitch ball. The movable crank engages in the tube to be locked only on the occasion of a manoeuvre.
