A VISCOUS HEATER

A viscous heater is provided which can attain the improvement of heating efficiency while preventing the leakage of a viscous fluid ascribed to the expansion thereof. To form such a viscous heater, a flat disc type rotor (15) is employed, and a housing is formed by a front housing body (1), a front plate (2) a rear plate (3) and a rear housing body (4), these parts being assembled and fastened to one another by through bolts (7). The front plate (2) is provided with a recessed surplus space (11) communicating at its outer circumferential portion with a heating chamber (8) between respective through bolts (7) and water passages (10).
