Two=part closure for sparkling wine bottle with outer thread

A bottle containing especially sparkling wine has a screw thread on the outer surface of the neck. The bottle is closed by a screw cap consisting of two sections, the first (1) of which has a thread (5) interlocking with that on the bottle, and which locks a stopper within the bottle neck. The second (2) section of the cap is a seal which is coaxial with the first. It is inserted in and seals the inner neck of the bottle. The stopper incorporates members (3,22) by which the two sections of the stopper are joined together, but enable rotation of both components with respect to each other while blocking axial movement (M).
