Fault diagnostics system for electrical drives

The common computer bus (8, 9) links the diagnostics processor node (7) which is used to implement diagnostic and analysis function relating to technical processes (5, 6), to the process controller nodes (2a-4e) which supervises and control, e.g. electrically driven production processes. The bus structure is a master-slave system of diagnostic processors with star bus connections through which communication with the hierarchical structure of process controllers, both user terminals (2a, 2b) and control units (3a, 3b), takes place. A separate bus is used for serial data transfer and an ISDN connection provides the option of remote diagnostics.
