Model railway locomotive test bed equipped with rollers

The test bed has pairs of rollers (5), which are raised on beams (1) and positioned in accordance with the spacing of the model axles, being clamped to the inside of the rails (3) by springs (2). The rollers rotate in sliding bearings. Electric current is supplied from the rails, through spring contacts (8) on beams (7) under the sliding contacts of the locomotive or its tender. Special functions on the locomotive can be operated by means of reed switches on its underside. These are responsive to controllable electromagnets mounted on special beams between the rails.
