The system includes an attachable infra-red auxiliary device, which reproduces the image recorded in the infra-red range on the scale of 1:1 in the visible range, whereby the optical axes of the infra-red unit and the reproducing unit run exactly parallel. A cathode ray tube is arranged in the attachable auxiliary device for image reproduction with marks (Fig 1, 10,11) reflected electronically into its reproduced TV image field. The position of these marks is detected by a CCD sensor and the centre point of the received image determined. This determines the position of the visible axis relative to the infra-red axis and allows the position of the infra-red image to be adjusted by the deflection amplifier. This ensures that parallelism between the infra-red axis and the optical axis is maintained.
