Strip type electrode gating apparatus for matrix type display device

The apparatus includes at least one integrated circuit (13) which is fixed on the same substrate board (11) as strip type electrodes (12). The integrated circuit has inner and outer contacts which directly contact inner and outer contact surfaces on the substrate. The substrate has strip conductors which connect the contact surfaces with the electrodes. The conductors to the inner contact surfaces run between the outer contact surfaces. The integrated circuit has bumps, which establish the contact to the contact surfaces on the substrate.
