Battery monitoring arrangement

A method or means suitable for monitoring a battery comprises: (1) monitoring the voltage and current levels of a battery, (2) using these levels to determine the charge remaining on said battery and (3) displaying said charge remaining on said battery. The voltage and current levels may be alternately sampled and an estimate of the amount of battery operation time left may be given. The arrangement may be employed in combination with an infusion pump. Details relating to the method and means are described.
