A portion of the cleaning fabric receiving portion (4), as faced by the cleaning fabric take-up shaft (27), is equipped with a movable bottom member (17) so that the shape of the cleaning fabric receiving portion (4) is physically changed in a direction to increase the diameter of the cleaning fabric take-up roll (70). In according to the increase in the diameter of the cleaning fabric take-up roll, the outer surface of the roll is brought into abutment against the bottom member so that it is raised.
