PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of generating torque of a synchronous motor with respect to a torque command, by compensating the loss as well as the reactive component of the synchronous motor, which are due to the speed of the same motor. CONSTITUTION:An ineffective current compensating circuit 21 operates a current command Ir based on a torque command Tr and the output of a speed detector 9 to output it. The current command Ir is compared with a torque current (iq) and the signal of a cogging torque compensating circuit 24 is subtracted from the output of the comparison, which is amplified by a torque amplifier 23 having sufficiently large gain, while the result of the subtraction is supplied to a current distributing circuit 18. The cogging torque compensating circuit 24 generates a signal for canceling a cogging torque based on the signal of a magnetic pole position signal circuit 14. |
