摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material which can be manufactured easily and has good reproductivity and long-life stability by selecting the average composition in the direction of film thickness to satisfy a specific formula. CONSTITUTION:The film for recording informations is formed directly on a substrate or through a protective layer consisting of at least one of organic or inorganic compound. The recording film shows no change in its appearance when irradiated with a beam for recording, while the atomic arrangement in the film changes. The recording film has the average composition in the thickness direction as discribed in general formula I. Thereby, the recording film can be manufactured easily and is stable for a long period with good reproductivity and recording/(erasing)reproducing characteristics.
