The measuring system has a component-receiver (1) to hold the piece to be measured on a base-plate (8) within its side sections (20). The measuring arm (7) and test head (17) are then automatically introduced. The use of a measuring unit (19) in a holder (12) which moves over curved guides (13a,13b,13c) on rubber-lined rollers and which can be clamped into any chosen position enables a continuous change of the angle of the test head relative to the ground plate.
