PURPOSE:To obtain an air-fuel ratio sensor, which can highly accurately obtain the air-fuel ratio of the three states of a rich region, a theoritical air-fuel ratio and a lean region with a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:This sensor is constituted of solid electrolyte 20 in a plate- shaped structure, a first electrode 22, which is formed on the atmospheric side of the solid electrolyte 20, a second electrode 23, which is formed on the exhaust atmosphere of the solid electrolyte 20, a detecting part, which has a diffused resistor 24 formed on the second electrode 23, and a driving circuit part for driving the detecting part. The potential of the second electrode 23 is set at the value higher than the ground level of the driving circuit part. |
