PURPOSE:To prevent an irregularity in the sensitivity of an overcoating layer from occurring and to eliminate the deterioration in the quality of an image by forming a reflection preventive layer due to a dye layer on the peripheral region out of the effective pixel region of a solid state image sensing chip, forming the corner of the layer in a nonsharp state, and covering the preventive layer with the overcoating layer. CONSTITUTION:A reflection preventive layer 5 of a dye layer is formed on the peripheral region 4 out of the effective pixel region 2 of a solid state image sensing chip 1, the corner of the layer 5 is removed, for example, round or obliquely to be formed in a nonsharp state, and the layer 5 is covered with an overcoating layer 6. The layer 5 is formed except the outermost periphery formed with a pad 9. Since the corner of the layer 5 on the region 4 is formed round 22 or obliquely 21 in a nonsharp state, an irregularity in the radial thickness scarcely occurs even if the coating time is increased when it is coated with the layer 6. Accordingly, irregularities 12, 13 in radial state, in frame edge state and sensitivity from the pad can be prevented to avoid the deterioration in the quality of an image. |
