Solid state electrochemical capacitors and their preparation.

摘要

Mfr. of an electrochemical capacitor comprises stacking at least two bipolar transistors and introducing an ionic conductor electrolyte in to the stack. The electrodes comprise a metal foil electrode substrate with a porous, electroconductive coating. A porous separator layer is present between the electrodes made of an electrically non-conductive material. The electrolyte wets both the substrate coating and the separator layer at temps. above the m.pt. of the solid electrolyte ehich has a m.pt. of 30 deg C. Also claimed is a further prodn. of the capacitor where the electrodes are supported in a fixture and the electrolyte is melted before applying to electrode stack.
