<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce oil in waste gas carried in a dust collector to prevent the occurrence of trouble by cooling scrap preheating waste gas to prescribed temperature or less by an indirect heat exchanger and condensing and sticking oil in waste gas to dust contained in scrap dissolving furnace formed gas. SOLUTION: In a preheater 2, air is blown into scrap dissolving furnace 1 formed gas to burn it, allowing scrap to be heated. The generated waste gas is cooled to 100 deg.C or less by an indirect heat exchanger 3 to condense and stick oil contained in the waste gas to dust in the waste gas, and the dust is collected by a preduster 4 consisting of a cyclone. After that, the waste gas is further filtered to collect the dust by a filter type dust collector 6 and is discharged as clean gas. Since the condensation effect of oil to dust is thus utilized without resorting to a combustion means on scrap preheating waste gas treatment, the treatment is made easily and with high effect, and a fear of fire or the like is wiped away.</p> |
