PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle for a spinning frame or throwing machine, improved vibration behaviors, especially achieved the effective attenuation of noises. SOLUTION: This spindle 1 contains a guide pipe 2 for supporting a neck bearing 5 and a step bearing 6 for a rotatably supported shaft 7. The guide pipe 2 is supported in proximity to the neck bearing 5 with a metal membrane 22 in a bearing housing 10. The metal membrane 22 is relatively hard in the radial direction, but highly flexible with respect to movements in the oblique directions of the guide pipe 2. The guide pipe 2 is supported with a radially directed spring in the region of the step bearing 6 in the bearing housing 10. The flexible membrane 22 acts as discontinuous points for noises originated from the structure of the spindle, and leads to the excellent attenuation of the noises. The radially-directed spring 43 is disposed in order to help the return movements of the guide pipe 2. The return movements can not be achieved only with the membrane 22. |
