PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain mail communication between different protocols efficiently with economy, by providing a common storage means to each mail system and sending a mail to a terminal equipment of a destination mail system via the storage means. SOLUTION: When mail systems A, B to which terminal equipments 4, 6 in a center 1 belong respectively and use different protocols from each other, the center 1 is provided with an external storage device 8 such as a magnetic disk used in common by the terminal equipments 4, 6. In the case of sending a mail of the same content from the center 1 to branches belonging to the mail systems A, B, the terminal equipment 4 sends the mail according to a protocol of the mail system A to terminal equipments of the system A. In the case of sending the mail from the center 1 to branches belonging to the mail systems B, the terminal equipment 4 processes and edits the format of the mail to be a format used by the mail system, stores the results to the external storage device 8, and starts a mail transmission function of the terminal equipment 6 to allow the function to send the mail to terminal equipments of the system B. |
