PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an input/output device without the need of a special interface circuit and the like on one computer having a check point recovery function. SOLUTION: When CPU 1a and 1b set the state of an operation on the input/ output devices 4a an 4b, the history of the state setting is preserved in a setting history storage area 34. When a fault occurs in the computer system, the states of the input/output devices 4a and 4b are reset and the input/output devices 4a and 4b are set based on the history of state setting, which is preserved in the setting history storage area 34. Thus, the respective states of the input/ output devices 4a and 4b can be restored to those at the time of a check point when a processing is restarted. |
