PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an application environment for received traffic information at the time of receiving the traffic information sent through communication. SOLUTION: After receiving traffic information, whether the received traffic information includes traffic information for a set route or its periphery or not is discirminated (SA7). When the traffic information is included, whether the information is for an opposite lane or traffic information other than a progress direction (SA8) or parking lot information near a destination (SA9) is discriminated, and only when the information does not match these conditions, the received traffic information data are stored. Then whether traffic information data corresponding to a map display area are included in the stored data or not is discriminated (SA11), and when the data are included, only the temporarily stored traffic information is displayed on a map. At the time of using the traffic information, other traffic information usually unnecessary for a user is not displayed on the map. |
