PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of enhancing resistance of plants against diseases such as powdery mildew, gray mold, etc., expressing disease spread-controlling and infection-preventing effects and useful for culturing farming and gardening products. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by mixing rutin and/or quercetin with water insoluble powder and, as an optional component, a solvent of rutin and/or quercetin. The water insoluble powder mixed with the composition is preferably good in dispersibility in water and has 50-500μm average powder particle size. A porous and powdery inorganic compound having 0.6-5cc/g pore volume and 80-400-cc/100 g oil absorption is especially preferable and zeolite is cited.
