PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvements in the extent of sharpness without entailing any damage to the edge strength of a rotary die cutter. SOLUTION: A cutting edge 5 is framingly installed on a peripheral surface 1A of a die 1 to be rotated around an axis A1, thereby forming a cutter type 6, and in a cutter type part 6A where the cutting edge 5 out of this cutter type 6 extends toward the axis A1, a section of this cutting edge 5 is formed into asymmetry by what an angleαmade by a side face 5A facing to the side of a direction of rotation X of the die 1 is made so as to be smaller than an angleβmade by another side face 5B facing to the rear side of the direction of rotation X, in relation to an edge center line C passing through a tip central part of the cutting edge 5 from the axis A1.
