SKIN DISINFECTANT COMPOSITION

Compositions for disinfection of the skin are disclosed which contain, in an aqueous medium, 0.5 to 10 w/v% of chlorhexidine digluconate, 5 to 25 w/v% of polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, 1 to 5 w/v% of fatty acid diethanolamide, 1 to 5 w/v% of alkyldimethylamine oxide, and macrogol in an amount of less than 10 w/v%. The polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and macrogol may be replaced with 10 to 35 w/v% of polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether. The composition may further contain up to 5 w/v% of polyoxyethylene lanolin. Since the composition does not solidify even when the solvent has evaporated, plugging of the outlet opening of the dispenser can be avoided.
