PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a limit to the increase in the thickness of a conventional skin plate without any problems by greatly improving the strength against the external force in a rectangular shield excavator. SOLUTION: A tail plate 4 is divided into a plurality of tail plate elements 4a by the plane perpendicular in the axial direction of a excavator, the adjacent tail plate elements 4a are connected to each other by a connecting means 30 capable of transmitting the thrust in the axial direction of the excavator, and the connecting means 30 are provided on four corners of the tail plate elements 4a. Boundary walls of the adjacent tail plate elements 4a are pierced by pins 31 in the longitudinal direction of the excavator 1 to connect the tail plate elements 4a to each other. |
