PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a solid lubricant for a bearing into the one in a solid form capable of suppressing the formation of a rust even under severe conditions so as to cause the entry of a high-concentration saline solution into the interior of the bearing without being washed away even by the penetrating of water or muddy water into the bearing. SOLUTION: This solid lubricant for a bearing is obtained by adding and mixing a rust preventing agent comprising a sulfonate or a partial ester of a fatty acid with a polyhydric alcohol with 5-97wt.% of a lubricating grease or a lubricating oil, 93-1wt.% of a powder of an ultrahigh-molecular weight polyolefin having 1×10<6> to 5×10<6> average molecular weight and 1-50wt.% of an exudation suppressant for an oil such as a solid wax, heating the resultant mixture at a temperature above the gel point of the ultrahigh-molecular weight polyolefin powder, preferably below the dropping point of the lubricating grease and molding the mixture. |
