PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition excellent in temperature characteristics of resonance frequency, high electromechanical coupling factor and low mechanical quality factor. SOLUTION: This composition is a complex compound of a perovskite structure containing at least Pb, Zr, Ti, Nb and Co as metallic component and is represented by the formula: Pba [(Nb2/3 Co1/3 )1-b Nbb ]c (Tid Zr1-d )1-c O3 , where (a), (b), (c) and (d) satisfy the formulas: 0.97<=a<=1.03, 0.03<=b<=0.12, 0.03<=c<=0.12, and 0.48<=d<=0.55, respectively. Here, a part of P is preferably replaced with <=0.12 mole of at least one selected from Ca, Sr, Ba, Nd, Gd, La, Pr and Sm. |
