PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring for a spinning frame, enabling the extension of traveler life, having reduced abnormal abrasion, free from the generation of napped yarn or fused yarn, and able to spin yarns having excellent quality. SOLUTION: The shape of cross section of a traveler running part 3 consists of a traveler running surface 2 formed by an arc surface having a radius of curvature R2 of 30-100mm inside the cross section and a traveler-detaching preventing part 6 formed in a roughly wedge shape tapering toward the top 11 outside the cross section. The traveler running surface 2 and the traveler- detaching preventing part 6 are connected at the top 11 in an arc surface. An angleαformed by the chord Y connecting the both ends of the traveler running surface 2 and a horizontal line X at the top 11 is 53 deg. to 60 deg., an angleβformed by the bottom face 13 of a traveler-detaching preventing part 6 and a horizontal line X at the top 11 is 25 deg. to 45 deg., and an included angleθof the chord Y and the outside surface 12 of the traveler-detaching preventing part 6 is 6 deg. to 20 deg..
