PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide color filters which have excellent various color pattern accuracy and is low in a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A dyeable resin layer 2 is formed in a substrate 1 and a polysilane layer 3 is formed thereon. This polysilane layer 3 is selectively irradiated with UV light 8 to cut the bonds between the silicon atoms in the molecular skeleton. Future, the bond cut parts of the polysilane later 3 and the parts of the dyeable resin layer 2 existing nearly right thereunder are dyed with dyes 14 and are subjected to a heat treatment to make the bond cut parts non-dyeable. A series of stages of the irradiating with the UV light 8, dying and heating to the polysilane layer 3 are repeated until the desired color kinds are obtd.; thereafter, the entire surface of the poltsilane layer 3 is irradiated with the UV light 8 to cut the bonds between the silicon atoms remaining in the moclecular skeleton. The bond cut parts are dyed with black dyes 21 and are heat treated to make the bond cut parts non-dyeable, by which the color filters are produced. |
