PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which is a thin type and where the utilization efficiency of light from a light source is high and a light transmission body obtained by improving the quality of the vicinity of the light source is used. SOLUTION: This surface light source device is constituted of the light transmission body 1 that consists of transparent material, the light source 2 arranged at the vicinity of the one end surface of the light transmission body 1, a light controlling member arranged on the light-emitting surface of the light transmission body 1, a reflector 4 provided on the opposite side of the light-emitting surface of the light transmission body 1 and the reflector 22 covering the light source 2. Then, the light controlling member is extended to the side of the light source 1, and the reflector 22 is extended to the side of the light transmission body 1, so that both extended parts are made in a mutually superposed state. |
