PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply abundant ink to an ink discharge mechanism by arranging an expansion film and a holder for the expansion film as a movable wall part in an ink tank having the movable wall part which contains ink under a free state in hermetically sealed space, and varies its volume following consumption of the ink. SOLUTION: An ink tank cartridge for an ink jet printer contains pigment ink 4 in a container body 1, and an expansion film 5 and high viscous fluid 6 are arranged in an interfacial part of the ink 4. Further, a cover body 8 is fixed to an opening part 7 of the container body 7, and the cover body 8 is fitted as a protective component for the expansion film 5, which is equipped with an air hole communicating with the outside. When a volume of the ink 4 in the ink tank is decreased, the high viscous fluid 6 moves in a direction for an ink discharge hole 2. Further, the expansion film 5 is extended by being pulled by movement of the high viscous fluid 6 to follow the high viscous fluid 6. Thereby, a position wherein the ink 4 moves by its consumed content can be held. |
