摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a voltage holding rate and to improve a display grade by eliminating leakage between sources and drains by the electrification of spacers. SOLUTION: An island-shaped layer 19 consisting of the same laminate as the laminate of a gate electrode 18 disposed with a-Si and gate insulating film in a lower layer is formed in a region where the edge of the gate electrode 18 disposed with the a-Si and gate insulating film in the lower layer is formed across a display electrode 11 and a drain line 12. This layer is arranged in proximity to the gate electrode 18. A spacer is raised by this island-shaped layer 19 and is prevented from approaching the a-Si of the lower layer of the gate electrode 18. Such thing that a residual channel connecting the display electrode 11 and the drain line 12 is formed by the electric field effect of the electrified spacer is prevented.</p>
