PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forgetting of locking a parking lock, by prohibiting turning of a rotary switch device by an prohibiting means, and releasing the prohibiting means when a selector of an automatic transmission is detected to be in a parking position. SOLUTION: When a rotor 7 is intended to be turned from an ACC position to a LOCK position when a selector 40 of an automatic transmission is placed except in a parking position, in a controller 34, a first actuator 16 is driven, and a slide cam 11 is retracted to an interlock position I. By this retracted slide cam 11, turning of the rotor 7 in a rotary switch device 2 to the LOCK position is prohibited. When inserting of the selector 40 in the parking position is detected by the controller 34, the slide cam 11 is returned to an unlock position F, and turning prohibition to the LOCK position of the rotor 7 is released. In this way, fogetting for locking of a parking lock can be prevented.
