PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject molded article having high and uniform mechanical strength throughout the whole molded article and resistant to the irariation of the mechanical strength with time by using a specific glass fiber filler surface-treated with a specific saline coupling agent. SOLUTION: This molded article has a flexural strength of >=150MPa and contains 20-50wt.% of a continuous mat of glass fiber surface-treated with a saline coupling agent having ethylenic double bond on the terminal [e.g. vinyl- tris(2-methoxyethoxy)silane]. The bulk polymerization is preferably carried out by using a reaction liquid produced by mixing a raw reaction liquid such as a norbornene monomer, a metathesis catalyst, an activation agent, etc., in the presence of the surface-treated continuous mat. |
