<p>Steam is supplied from a water tank (2) to a steam iron (1) via a steam generator (3) with heater (10), to which water is supplied by a pump (4), and a steam line (6). A second pump (7) is provided in a second water line (8) and supplies water directly into the steam line, while simultaneously, or with a time delay, the first pump pumps water into the steam generator. The steam produced carries the injected water into the iron sole plate, where it evaporates, forming additional wet steam for ironing.</p> |
