PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exchange a developer in a storage means without considering a supplying amount when the developer in a developing unit is deteriorated by providing the storage means which stores the developer supplied to the developing unit and has the same capacity as the volume of the developer which can be stored in the developing unit. SOLUTION: The toner is stored in a toner box 642 stored toner supplied to the developing unit, and when the concn. of the toner in the developing unit is reduced, the toner is supplied to the developing unit. Further, in a developer box 649, the toner and carriers are mixed and stored. When the exchange of the developer in the developing unit is required, this developer is supplied to the developing unit. Then, the volume of the developer housed in the developer box 649 is almost equal to or a little smaller than that of the developer which can be stored in the developing unit. Thus, as the volume of the developer housed in the developing box 649, all the developer can be stored in the developing unit with one supplying. |
