PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a tie-bar diameter etc., by reducing the capacity of a motor for transferring the mold mounting plate of the mold clamping apparatus of an injection molding or a blow molding machine. SOLUTION: The mold closing of a mold clamping apparatus is done by motors 8, 8a for transferring a mold mounting plate with only force to compensate a mechanical loss to mold mounting plates 2, 2a. The mold clamping is done by a method in which an electromagnet 4 which is attached to the side on the peripheral side of one mold mounting plate 2 is contacted with an iron block 5 which is attached to the side on the peripheral side of the other mold mounting plate 2a, the iron block 5 is pulled by an electric jack apparatus 7 which is mounted on the back of the mold mounting plate 2a. |
