PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herbicidal composition of suspension type that has excellent dispersibility of the herbicide in water, leaves no treatment traces which will become a cause of chemical injury and persistence in soil, and is useful as a herbicide for direat application to paddy fields. SOLUTION: This herbicidal composition of suspension type comprises a slightly water-soluble component (whose solubility in water is 100ppm or more at 25 deg.C) having herbicidal activity [for example,α-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine-2- illucarbamoylsulfamoyl)-O-toluate, and a surface-active agent (for example, lignin sulfonate)], a metal salt of a fatty acid having a carbon number of 10 or more (for example, calcium stearate) and water. The contents of respective components in the suspension-type herbicidal preparation having the above- mentioned composition are preferably 0.1-60wt.% for the component having herbicidal activity, 3-20wt.% of the surface-active agent and 0.1-10wt.% for the metal salt of fatty acid. |
