The synthetic hybrid corn, and its seed, carries the designation LP41 and is covered by the Deposition Number ATCC 97484. It resembles closely the hybrid corns ASKC28, ASKC20 and UHO, but LP41 matures considerably earlier and produces a large yield. It grows to a height of around 198 cm, produces either 1 or 2 ears, with a slight tendency to 2, per stem. The leaves are pale green, and grow at an angle of 53 degrees to the stem. The mature plant has 12 leaves, with a length of 73 cm and width of 9 cm. The ear has a length of 20 cm, a diameter at the centre of 4.6 cm and a weight, dried to 15.5 % humidity, of 116 g. It is wrapped in 5 leaves and the envelope is 26 cm long by 15 cm wide with a surface of 390 cm squared.
