发明名称 THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURE OF CARBON FIBER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
摘要 A novel material having carbon fiber as its main constituent material and usable for usage closely associated with a human sensitivity, for example, a cushioning material for chairs, beds and the like is provided by devising a carbon fiber laminated layer structure having a proper resiliency, compression repulsive property, compression durability and the like which carbon fiber itself as a simple stock material can never offer. The novel material is a three-dimensional structure of carbon fiber comprising a fiber aggregate, which contains carbon fiber (50 wt.% or more) relative to the entire fiber and in which 50 to 100 wt.% of the entire fiber is composed of crimp fiber, and a binding agent composed of a thermosetting resin and/or a thermally fusing fiber which bonds contact points of fibers together to form a three-dimensional mesh structure. The novel material has a bulk density of 20 to 80 Kg/m<3> and compressive hardness LC of 0.7 to 0.9 with the maximum load of 100 gf/cm<2>.
