FOODS CONTAINING STABILIZED WATER-SOLUBLE DYES

Foods containing ascorbic acid or a salts thereof and colored with at least one water-soluble dye selected from among anthocyanin dyes, tar dyes and safflower yellow, which further contains sorbid acid, a salt thereof and/or a sulfurous acid salt. The water-soluble dye contained in the above foods is inhibited from fading by virtue of the ascorbic acid or salt thereof, thus exhibiting an enhanced stability.
