Before the containers are filled with drinks, especially beer, they are emptied by a single-stage vacuum pump. The pump possesses a constant volume characteristic line so that the bottle (9) is emptied in a single process from atmospheric pressure to less than 1% residual air. The volume characteristic line of the vacuum pump is horizontal. The vacuum pump is a dry running screw vacuum pump with inner compression.
