The method involves associating a peripheral device address with transferred information representing the destination for transmissions from the central device (COT) or the sender for transmissions from peripheral devices. The central device sends a signal derived from its address to indicate signal validation to the peripheral device (RT0 - RTn). A peripheral device addressed in this way interrogates its transmitter (SLM) for a transmission request and sends its own address back to the central device to indicate the interrogation state or the start of an information transmission from the peripheral device. Any transmission requirement results in a transmission from the peripheral device, otherwise the peripheral device sends a release signal. Following receipt of the release signal, or after a certain elapsed time, the central device sends a free signal to a subsequent peripheral device.
