The proposed method of forming a sound-absorbing medium involves placing the sound sources and sound absorbers in a space bounded by a sound-reflecting surface. The sound-absorbers take the form of a liquid-saturated vapour system with a phase boundary which is temperature-regulated by a thermostat in the form of a heat accumulator.
