摘要 FIELD: mining engineering. SUBSTANCE: concentration table is used with longitudinal inclination of deck to horizon, the deck having high riffles at the edges. Upper end of the deck is pivotally fastened. Deck reciprocates both lengthwise and sidewise with increasing amplitude and velocity of reciprocation as slurry displaces lengthwise. Liquid and starting material enter middle-upper part of the deck. Slurry runs down in the upper part of deck like along a downward-narrowing gutter, fills with liquid the lower and middle parts of deck to a certain level depending on the height of edge riffles and transverse reciprocation of deck. In the middle and lower parts of deck, the slurry partially separated into layers in "narrowing gutter" keeps separating owing to segregation in relatively thick laminar stream of the slurry. Lower layers containing particles with relatively great density, affected by inertial mechanism of longitudinal displacement, move in the middle part of deck toward its lower end, and relatively light-weight particles being in the upper part of slurry are shifted downward with liquid stream in transverse direction owing to transverse reciprocation of the deck and run down from the deck at its lower corners.
